Synopsis

« Why do I care about Korea? Korea itself is irony. »
Comprised of bassist Sung-gun and drummer Yong-man are in a grind core duo band, Bamseom Pirates. Garnered great attention early on with shocking and witty lyrics like, « All hail Kim Jong-il » earning them fame as the most controversial band in the Korean music scene. Since then, the band has expanded its musical horizons, addressing problematic, ironic, and absurd issues in South Korean society. However, in 2012, when their good friend and producer, Park Jung-geun, is arrested for violating the National Security Laws after re-tweeting messages from the North Korean account « Uriminzok », the Bamseom Pirates face the first and biggest crisis of their musical career.
