Synopsis

Five storytellers share their passion for this art while delivering excerpts that single out each person’s unique style. Montmagny’s Jocelyn Bérubé offers us his own version of Alexis le Trotteur. Alfred Gagnon from L’Islet shares a traditional narrative bequeathed by his mother. Nicolas Godbout expresses the importance of the Bellechasse oral tradition in his artistic practice. Jean Fradette of Saint-Raphaël gives us a tale from his mythical family repertory. In Lévis, Olivier Turcotte embodies Jos Violon, the colorful character that was born under the pen of the writer Louis Fréchette.
